Regrettably this source of happiness is so visible that many of us take it for granted every day. You may render this as too simple, and so what is this source of happiness?
Nature! That’s right, the natural environment. It’s all for you to experience. And it is one of the best ways to take your focus away from yourself and your problems, and direct it out to the world around you.
Downhearted individuals inclines to hang about the house distressed or worrying about their problems. Happy persons go out and enjoy life. So let’s suppose for a moment that we are happy, and make a strong-willed attempt to get back to nature. Happiness awaits you outside!
Prepare yourself a nice picnic lunch and head off to a park. Invite a friend to come along. Sit and savor the sights, listen to the sounds and smells of nature. Watch the birdies and insects busily set about their lives. You could seat for a lifetime and never get tired of the biological surroundings.
Never mind where you live. Nature is there right beside you. And wonder can be found everywhere. Even inside the city. All urban centre has local park areas so make use of them. Or sit in some garden and see the birds chirping and singing, flying freed and enjoying the day. Or just seat watching the clouds pass over. Anywhere you can find nature, in any form; you have found a potential source of happiness.
Take a trip to the beach. Don’t sit there worrying about your problems. Whatever problem your mind is focused on, just turn it off for a short while. Take your mental focus off yourself and direct it to your natural environment. Watch the waves roll in. Listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the sand. Watch and listen to the children playing in the water. Feel the cool sea breeze on your skin.
Take your attention away from yourself, and focus it on your natural surroundings. View the life that resides all around you. It’s unimaginable to be depressed while you are expressing true happiness. It is not possible to be sad while you’re expressing what nature has to offer.
Then get out and experience nature. Be happy. You will love to live like this, to experience the fountain of happiness and breathe in the wonder of nature.
