Banish Cellulite the Green Way: 4 Natural Remedies that Work
It’s time to let our natural bodies shine in the summer sun. But what do we do when our beautifully smooth, tanned skin from last summer has turned pale and cellulite-ridden after a winter’s worth of treats and lack of sun? There are many products out there claiming to beat cellulite for good, from expensive serums to high-end exercise machines. But, the real secret to getting rid of cellulite lies in natural processes, and it’s easy to get rid of cellulite by changing your diet and habits. Cellulite is caused by collections of fat under the skin, and they cause the skin to pucker. The following natural remedies are best when combined together in one, all-out cellulite busting punch. Get everything you need to start trying all four today and you’ll see results by swimsuit time.
1. Dry Brush
Dry brushing is one of the tops ways to naturally get rid of cellulite, aside from working out. Dry brushing is a simple technique that has been around for centuries and is starting to regain popularity. Using a soft bristled bath brush (something that is firm enough to exfoliate the skin, but not to hard that it will hurt as you brush the skin firmly), brush all over your body in upward, circular motions before showering. Dry brushing improves lymph flow and breaks up the congested fluids in the cellulite are, allowing them to break apart and move through the body. See an example of a dry brushing technique for cellulite here.
2. Moisturize with Natural Oils
Because your skin soaks in everything that touches it, there is no reason to put anything on your skin that you wouldn’t want circulating throughout your entire body. Not only do the toxins in traditional beauty products contribute to cellulite buildup, they do nothing to hydrate the skin, which only makes cellulite all the more obvious. Instead of your usual lotion, use coconut oil or jojoba oil to moisturize your skin.
3. Build Muscle
This is probably the most important part of fighting cellulite. Cellulite forms in pockets of fat that can be difficult to break down. But one of the best ways to burn fat is to gain muscle, because muscle naturally burns the fat off your body. If you are not lifting weights or doing some other form of strength training and have unwanted cellulite, then this is the first change you need to make. Try starting small by purchasing some free weights. Any sort of muscle gain is better than none. Once you get in the groove, head to the gym and work out your quads, hamstrings, gluts, calves and back, as well.
4. Flush Toxins with Water
The fourth part of the cellulite-busting regimen has to include water. You are working so hard to get the toxins and fats broken up and flowing through and out of your system and you need the appropriate amount of fluids to make that happen. Water is the cure-all for any sort of issues with toxins, so drink as much water as possible throughout the day, combined with the first three steps, and watch the cellulite melt away.

5 Ways to Make Your Home Internet Connection Perform Better
Surfing the web at home has come a long way over the past two decades, from dial-up modems that required a phone line to virtually wireless networks that can be accessed freely from around your house. Despite these amazing advancements in such a short amount of time, it’s easy to grow frustrated when a website takes longer than a few seconds to load or when a sluggish Internet connection makes tasks such as streaming video or uploading photos impossible. Here are five ways to improve your home Internet connection to achieve better results when browsing.
1. Minimize the number of tasks that you perform at a time
While tabbed browsing has made it much easier to multi-task, it is common for people to have more than ten tabs open at a time. Conducting this many operations at once can put a tremendous stress on your bandwidth and can compromise your computer’s performance. By keeping tasks to a minimum and focusing on one or two websites at a time, your computer will be able to load and function much more quickly. This also goes for using your connection on more than one machine at a time. For example, if you are streaming something on your television set while trying to access the Internet on your laptop, your connection will be noticeably slower.
2. Ensure that your antivirus software is adequate and up to date
Simply clicking an ad link or opening an infected email can set off a range of problems for many PCs if a virus is involved. When your computer becomes infected by a virus, most of your network’s bandwidth will be unavailable for normal tasks. Make sure you have antivirus software installed on your computer to protect you against these dangers. This will help to catch even small bugs that can affect your system’s performance.
3. Keep your computer clear of spyware and malware
If you have never scanned your computer for spyware or malware, you may not even know what the term means. Most computers that are connected to the internet will have picked up spyware at some point in time, and this can noticeably impact your computer’s performance and your connection speed. MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware are two popular free options to help combat spyware and remove it from your system.
4. Optimize your temporary Internet files or cache
When you visit a site repeatedly, your computer may be wasting time and effort downloading the same files over and over. For example, your email, banking website, Facebook, or other sites might be loading from scratch each time you sign on. Optimizing your Internet options and cache will allow your computer to only download new graphics from specific sites when something changes. This will free up bandwidth for other tasks and allow for faster service.
5. Use updated hardware and software whenever possible
Often, your Internet connection can be improved simply by replacing old programs or hardware. Newer computers will be better equipped to handle high Internet speeds. An old router or damaged antennae may also be hindering your network’s wireless performance. If your router is positioned in a prominent spot in your house and you feel like it should be working more efficiently, try another router or attempt to connect a friend’s computer to the network in order to assess the difference in performance.

Conditions To Be Eligible For A Fiance Visa

Conditions necessary for one to be eligible for a fiance visa
Foreign nationals married to US citizens who wish to and live in the United State can either apply for a marriage visa or a fiance visa. The two have a few differences but the main difference is that a marriage visa requires that you should first be married to a citizen before application is done.
Petition for Alien immigration (form l -130) should be presented to the immigration department by the citizen. This should be the first step you take in order for you to get a marriage visa as a foreigner. After the form is submitted by the US citizen to the Immigration Office, the United States Embassy and the National Visa Center takes care of the rest.
Once processing of the request has been completed and the petition approved, the foreign spouse will be permitted residence within the United States with his or her spouse. Usually the marriage visa does not require many details once the applicants have proven that they are legally married and there is no case that they should be apart from each other.
Since the visa takes months to be approved the non citizen spouse can enter the US and awaiting the visa to be processed and approved.
The non citizen enters the country on a temporary basis to be with the citizen spouse. This can only happen if the American citizen applies for a k1 visa which approves the temporary stay in the US.
The immigration Office also demands additional forms to be filled and presented to them as a petition requesting permission for the foreign spouse to enter the country. Such forms include an IR-1 or Immediate Relative visa which authorizes foreign spouse to immigrate to the United Sates. The other demand is the CR-1 or Conditional Residency visa. The CR -1 is given to couples who have been married for under 2 years.
The Benefits Of A Plant-based Diet

A plant-based diet reduces the amount of animal products you eat. You create meals using primarily vegetables, fruits, grains, tubers and legumes. The basis for this diet is different from vegetarianism. A vegetarian removes all meat from their life. Plant-based regimes are less strict. You might still include lean meats, but the higher percentage of foods you eat fall into the plant category.
The reasoning behind developing a plant-based diet is different from what you might think. The goal is not so much to avoid the by-products of meat as it is to increase what you get from plants. Let’s take a look at some of the benefits you get from eating primarily plant products.
What You Get From Plants
Plant foods are rich in antioxidants. These are naturally occurring elements that help prevent damage to cells from aging and environmental toxins. Antioxidants reduce the risk of some types of cancers and slow down the aging process. Common antioxidants found in plant-based foods include vitamin C and E.
You increase the amount of carotenoids in your diet by adding more vegetables, as well. Carotenoids are naturally occurring pigments that work to fight disease. Chlorophyll is one form of carotenoid.
Benefits of a Plant-Based Diet
Combat Obesity
Most plant-based foods are naturally low in saturated fats. This is a critical part of fighting obesity. Sticking to primarily plant foods is one way to lower calories too. Managing your weight is a math game. Cutting calories and increasing activity leads to weight loss. If you want to reach a healthy weight and stay there, a plant-based diet is an effective approach.
Fight Disease
This is really the kicker for a plant-based diet. By adopting this healthy eating system, you help prevent diabetes, cancer, heart disease and high blood pressure. Plant nutrition provides everything you need to stay healthy and eliminates the elements that can make you sick. A diet based primarily on plant nutrition will also help manage existing conditions. You will eat less fat and salt to keep your blood pressure down. You remove processed foods from your meals and that lowers the amount of sugar you eat. Cutting back on animal fat is a natural way to lower cholesterol, as well.
Increasing fiber in your diet with grains and plant material helps to combat colon cancer. Lowering the quantity of dairy and meat products will reduce incident of gallbladder and kidney stones. The increase in antioxidants helps to slow down cell degeneration that comes with aging. Simply put, you will look and feel better on a plant-based diet.
A healthy plant-based diet has a little of bit everything to keep even the pickiest eaters happy. Two-thirds of your diet should be plant foods. You can eat some lean meats, fish, poultry and dairy. Adopting healthy eating is the key to being healthy. A plant-based diet is a positive way to accomplish that task.

Green Cleaning Products Impact On Environment

Green Cleaning Products Make A Positive Impact On Our Environment
Studies
A study recently conducted on the health benefits of the common herb rosemary showed that simply inhaling the scent of the plant’s oils was enough to introduce its beneficial chemicals directly into the bloodstream. While this is good news when it comes to benign substances, it does raise a serious concern when contemplating the corollary: what happens when we merely inhale deleterious substances? Do they enter our bloodstream also, and if so, what happens when they get there?
There are many valid and well-meaning reasons behind the choice to “go green” and switch to environmentally friendly cleaners, but they all come back to the same source – a conviction that part of healthy living and treading lightly on this planet involves stepping back from the chemicals we once assumed were safe. Sophisticated testing and advanced scientific technique have shown as the years have rolled by that these substances are not as benign as was once thought.
Common Cleaners and Poisons
The most common cleansers on the supermarket shelf contain caustic elements meant to kill living organisms like fungus, mold, and bacteria. While that’s exactly why consumers purchase them, it is good to remember that we are made up of the same kinds of cells, and what is poisonous to mold and bacteria is often poisonous to us as well. Inhaling chemicals can cause asthma reactions in some people, while certain additives in a cleanser might cause a skin rash or aggravate allergies.
Once common cleansers do their job, they are washed away and enter the water supply, where they are often recycled through a city’s water treatment facility and sent back into homes as “clean” water. Chemicals from drain cleaners and anti-mold sprays are heavily diluted, but they still exist in measurable quantities in the water coming out of the common kitchen faucet. Once these chemicals enter the water supply, they combine with other chemicals, potentially forming carcinogenic or toxic compounds like methanol.
Reverse the Trend
Of course, the only way to reverse such a trend is for everyone on the planet to switch to environmentally friendly substances when cleaning, a nearly impossible feat. For people who believe that great change involves starting with oneself, however, the choice to switch to green cleaning products is a simple one, born of concern for the environment as well as concern for the health of oneself and one’s family.
Mom always had a box of baking soda or some white vinegar handy to use in a pinch, but “green” cleaning products have come a long way in just the past few years. The most prevalent concerns for those considering switching from conventional cleaning supplies to green alternatives are price and effectiveness. No one wants to pay more for a product that does less. The pleasant surprise, however, is that most of the green products on the market today are just as effective as their chemical-laden alternatives and they are often priced competitively.
It’s important to remember that the harmful chemicals found in conventional cleaners do not just “go away.” They enter the environment and are incorporated into the food chain, where they can linger and cause harmful effects to plant and animal life for decades. It’s easy to become overwhelmed in the face of introducing positive change, but with the prevalence of quality alternatives on the market, it’s also never been easier

My Experiences With Anxiety

I remember in my early to late teens experiencing panic attacks, and them being the most frightening experience of my young life-I felt utterly terrified, and almost as if I wasn’t ‘in my own body’. Fortunately, as I grew into my twenties these attacks subsided and I led a pretty normal life.
About 4 years ago however, when I turned 34, I started to get the attacks back once again. Looking back I can see that they were triggered by a period of immense stress- I was working extremely long hours in a very tough work environment. I’ve always been able to handle deadlines and large workloads, but I started to feel as if my new job was almost too much for me, and I felt out of control.
Over the next year the symptoms got worse. I’d have a panic attack at least 3 to 4 times a week, and I started to feel depressed, withdrawn and inclined to just stay at home. I knew that things had to change when, on holiday in Egypt, I would get severe anxiety when I left the hotel complex, and this included feeling extremely dizzy and breathless too. In my head I thought that I was suffering from all sorts of serious diseases, and this further fuelled my stress and anxiety!
When I got back to the UK I decided that ‘enough was enough’, and that I needed to change my lifestyle. I left my stressful job, and started working in a new, less demanding role. I also did loads of research on the subject of anxiety, and experimented with lots of different coping strategies- some didn’t work for me, whilst others were very effective.
The anxiety is far less of a problem for me now. In fact I would now say I’m 95% better, and it certainly doesn’t interfere with my life, which I think is the central point. If you suffer with anxiety you have to be brave and confront the problem head on- you really have to try NOT to let it stop you from leading your normal everyday life. There are plenty of treatments, resources and self-help strategies that are available to you- I would say to sufferers not to suffer in silence and seek help.
For me the most effective coping strategies for anxiety are as follows:
- Overhaul your diet – By cutting down on caffeine and cutting out sugary foods, you tend to find your energy levels remain more stable, and in return you are less prone to anxiety attacks. Really think about the food you eat, and strive to consume a healthy, balanced diet.
- Exercise- Yes, I can hear the moaners! But the fact is that exercise not only leads to a fitter, healthier body, it also helps you to eliminate all the ‘pent up’ stress and anxiety in your body. You don’t have to sign up for your local gym- a brisk walk 3 or 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes will do the job!
- Relaxation- We all need to take time out of our busy schedules to relax and unwind. Our bodies work on cycles of activity and rest, and if you miss out on the rest cycle, there can be severe implications for both body and mind. I like to relax by listening to classical music, hang out with my cat Rosie, listening to meditation CDs or having a nice long sauna! Find out what works for you and find the time to do it!
I hope you have found this short post useful, and I would encourage anyone who thinks they are suffering with anxiety to seek the necessary help and support. It can be beaten!
